Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, every other weekend, floating and call required
- Call requirements: 2 12-hour call shifts per every 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift)
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assist laboring patients
- Communicate with providers
- Circulate in OR for cesarean sections
- Competently triage patients 20 weeks and up
- Circulate for vaginal deliveries (circulating for cesarean is preferred)
- Attend deliveries to support newborn resuscitation
- Recover vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Provide care to antepartum patients requiring care in L&D
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- 2+ previously completed travel assignments in L&D
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
- CPN & Cerner experience preferred
- Must be able to pass an EKG
- Auto-offers only – no interviews
Unit Details
- EMR: CPN (GE) and Cerner
- Scrub color: Navy blue
- Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 per AWHONN guidelines
- Number of beds: 13 (8 LDRs, 5 Triage Beds)
- 48GHs are NOT approved
- Block scheduling may be accommodated if weekend requirements are met (must be included in submission)
- No maximum RTO as long as weekend requirements are met
