Travel Labor & Delivery RN - $2,375 per week

About the role

Provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns in a modern, patient‑centered hospital in Sheboygan, WI. Work in comfortable birthing suites and support patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum. The facility includes a Level II neonatal intensive care unit and offers a full range of women’s health services.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.
• Perform cervical exams, amniotic fluid infusions, and manage epidurals.
• Conduct fetal monitoring and manage IV starts and ongoing therapy.
• Administer Pitocin and other medications as ordered.
• Catch and receive newborns, assess APGAR scores, and provide basic breastfeeding education.
• Provide comprehensive postpartum care for both mother and baby from transition to discharge.
• Document all care accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Requirements

• Current RN license (compact accepted; copy required).
• Recent LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience with a skills checklist completed within the past 12 months.
• Proficiency in EMR charting.
• Ability to perform cervical exams, amniotic infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV starts/management, Pitocin administration, newborn catching/receiving, APGAR scoring, and basic breastfeeding education.
• Comfort with all aspects of postpartum care for mother and infant.
• Holiday rotation schedule.
• Weekend work every fourth weekend.
• On‑call: 6–7 four‑hour blocks per 6‑week schedule.
• Social Security Number and date of birth required.
• One professional reference within the last 12 months.

Pay

Pay rate: $2,315.00 – $2,434.00 (subject to confirmation). Tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• Duration: 13 weeks.
• Shift: 12‑hour nights.
• Total hours: 36 hours per week.
• Holiday rotation.
• Every fourth weekend on call.
• On‑call: 6–7 four‑hour blocks per 6‑week schedule.
