Hard Stop Requirements

• 3–5 years recent High-Risk L&D experience
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Current Nursys verification required with submission
• Current supervisory references required
• Proof of certifications required at submission
• Must pass clinical review

• BLS
• NRP

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced

Required Skills

• High-Risk Labor & Delivery
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EPIC EFM experience required)
• Circulating C-Sections (Hard Stop)
• Baby Nurse role during delivery (Hard Stop)
• Newborn care and assessments (Hard Stop)
• Vitamin K and Eye Ointment administration (Hard Stop)
• Transitioning newborns to postpartum
• Medication Experience
• Heparin
• Insulin
• Magnesium Sulfate

Unit Details

• 31 Beds / 31 Rooms
• 4 OR Suites
• Average Daily Census: 15500–600 deliveries per month
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines

• Substance recovery patients
• Community care clinic referrals
• Floating
