About the role

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a facility in Meridian, Idaho. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Women’s Services unit, following established AWHONN standards for patient ratios and safety protocols. The position requires experienced RNs capable of circulating in labor and postpartum settings, with a focus on delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and circulating settings
• Adhere to AWHONN standards for patient ratios and safety protocols
• Float to like units within the valley, including Nampa and Boise L&D, as well as to adult units such as Medical Surgical or Emergency Department, with prior notice

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Stable certifications (Stable taken at least once)
• AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and circulating nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Triage experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

The unit is a Women’s Services department with 10 L&D beds, 2 Operating Room suites for Cesarean Sections, and 4 triage beds. The unit maintains staffing levels per AWHONN standards, with in-house neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and CRNA anesthesia providers available 24/7 to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Minimum of 48 hours per week
• Weekends and holidays as needed
