Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,614 per week
About the role
This facility is nestled on the scenic Maine coast and is surrounded by Acadia National Park with mountains and exceptional year-round recreation including hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, golf and more. Currently the hospital is looking for two L&D RNs to work nights in their 6 bed unit. No floating to other units is necessary. They average about 25 births per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with deliveries, monitor fetal heart tones, and manage postpartum care as needed.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain sterile environments.
- Document patient care accurately and timely according to hospital policies.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as an RN in Maine.
- BLS certification.
- STABLE and NRP certifications.
Qualifications
Must have a strong background in labor and delivery nursing, with experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and newborn care.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
