About the role

This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in the labor and delivery department, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the childbirth process. The position requires supervising nursing staff, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and applying clinical judgment to meet patient needs effectively.

Schedule

• Night shifts, 12 hours per shift
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Collects relevant patient data and analyzes assessment data
• Develops and implements care plans
• Evaluates patient progress
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Provides patient education
• Participates in discharge planning
• Delegates duties appropriately
• Performs other related duties as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
• AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ARC-Advanced Life Support (ALS)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• AHA-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or ARC-Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS)
• 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an acute care facility

Pay

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
