Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - $2,165 per week

About the role

The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position is based in the department specialized in obstetric and neonatal care. Located in Dickson, Tennessee, the role involves providing comprehensive nursing care in a designated level II Labor and Delivery department, with a focus on supporting mothers through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, as well as Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) patient management. The unit features advanced equipment and a highly experienced team dedicated to delivering quality maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding on all patients
• Safety rounding
• Active management of obstetric and neonatal clients in a high-acuity setting

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including labor and recovery of mothers, newborn assessment and transition, skills in shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, and obstetric emergencies
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Fetal Monitoring training

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with inductions (e.g., Pitocin, cervidil)
• Advanced fetal monitoring education
• Proficiency in procedures such as C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, and assisted deliveries with vacuum or forceps

• Documentation in Meditech and CPN systems
