About the role
Greenstaff Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week assignment at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. This position offers 36 hours per week on night shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) in a 12-hour, 3x12s schedule. The unit has 17 beds and uses Cerner for charting, with self-scheduling available.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-risk deliveries, including C-Sections (circulate & recovery) and vaginal deliveries
- Administer and monitor Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drips
- Perform fetal monitoring (internal & external), OB triage, and postpartum hemorrhage care
- Cover weekend shifts as per unit rotation (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
- Serve in a Charge Nurse capacity as required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Prior Charge Nurse experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
