Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data
- Provide age-specific nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care and standards of practice
- Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors
- Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
- Utilize standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators
- Contribute to department performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees
- Contribute to department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing-involved Evidence Based Practices
- Demonstrate continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings
- Float to assist in other like units as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
