Skills
Specific clinical skills include: labor & delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, sterile speculum exam, NST, EFM (external/internal/IUPC), abnormal FHR recognition/treatment, blood product administration, IV starts/maintenance, infusion pumps/drips, antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, prostaglandins, terbutaline, vaginal/forceps/vacuum delivery, hemorrhage/shock management, sterile vaginal exam, APGAR, baby catching, ID/security banding, radiant warmers, cord care, discharge teaching, infant ID, newborn assessment, hypoglycemia, phototherapy, circumcision care education, thermoregulation, epidural anesthesia, pain management, breastfeeding support, Foley catheter, fundus/lochia/perineum care, wound care, vaginal & cesarean delivery, couplet/multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy‑induced hypertension, vaccine administration, antepartum, low‑volume facility births ( But we already listed many in responsibilities; maybe we should not duplicate. However instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; duplication may be okay but better to avoid redundancy. Could combine responsibilities and skills into one list under Responsibilities, and Skills section maybe not needed if no extra info. But we need to include Skills section only if posting has real specific content for it. The posting includes a huge list under "Required Certifications & Skills". That list is both skills and certifications. We already used certifications in Qualifications. The rest are skills. So we could put skills list under Skills section. Responsibilities could be more generic duties? But the list is essentially the skills/duties. To avoid duplication, we could treat the list as Responsibilities (duties) and not have a separate Skills section. However we need to include Skills section only if there is specific content; we could omit Skills if we covered under Responsibilities. But we need to preserve all info; if we put all under Responsibilities, we still preserve. So we can omit Skills section. Similarly Benefits: we have details about benefits. So include Benefits section. Pay: we have pay range. Schedule: we have shift and schedule details; but we already included schedule in About the role. However we could still have a Schedule section with specifics: Nights, 3×12‑hour 19:00‑07:00. But we must not create Schedule section unless posting actually states them. It does state shift and schedule. So we can include Schedule section. However we already included schedule in About the role; duplication may be okay but we could move schedule details to Schedule section and keep About the role more generic. Let's decide. Better to follow instruction: Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we should combine where possible. Perhaps we have About the role (profession, facility, assignment length, start date, charting system, openings). Responsibilities (the long list). Requirements (experience, travel, charge nurse preferred). Qualifications (certifications, licensure, charting experience). Benefits (benefits list). Pay (pay range). Schedule (shift details). That's 7 sections. Check if any section would be empty or filler: All have content. Now we need to ensure we don't include boilerplate like EEO, etc. Also remove duplicated lines (like "Sterile vaginal exam" appears twice in list; we should keep only one occurrence? The instruction: Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove duplicated lines. So we need to deduplicate the list. Let's examine the list for duplicates: "Sterile vaginal exam" appears twice. Also "Use of External Fetal Monitoring" and "Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring)" maybe similar but we can keep both as they are slightly different phrasing but could be considered duplicate. However we should remove exact duplicates. Let's deduplicate. List items: - Labor & Delivery - LDRP - Mother/Baby - Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation) - NST (Non Stress Tests) - Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring) - Use of External Fetal Monitoring - Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring - Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration - Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns - Administration of blood & blood products - Starting and maintaining IVs - Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring - Antihypertensives - Magnesium Sulfate therapy - Pitocin (oxytocin) - Prostaglandins - Terbutaline - Assist with vaginal delivery - Forceps/vacuum extraction - Hemorrhage/shock - Sterile vaginal exam - APGAR scores - Baby Nurse (“Baby Catcher”) - ID/Security Banding - Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation - Cord Care - Discharge teaching to parents - Infant Identification - Newborn Assessment - Newborn hypoglycemia - Phototherapy - Teach Circumcision care to parents - Thermoregulation - Epidural Anesthesia - Pain assessment & management - Breastfeeding Support/lactation support - Foley catheter insertion/management - Fundus / lochia / perineum care - Wound assessment/care - Vaginal Delivery - Cesarean Section - Couplet Care - Multiple Births - Postpartum Hemorrhage - Pregnancy induced hypertension - Vacc
