$2,166 to $2,359 weekly, including taxable wages and tax-free expense reimbursements.

Schedule

• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 19:00 – 07:00
• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Start date: 09/28/2026

Responsibilities & Skills

• Amnioinfusion
• Antepartum care
• Administration of antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin (oxytocin), prostaglandins, and terbutaline
• APGAR scoring
• Assisting with circumcision and post-op site assessment
• Assisting with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
• Assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Baby-friendly protocols and breastfeeding/lactation support
• Cord care and couplet care
• Discharge teaching for parents
• Drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
• Epidural anesthesia management
• Episiotomy and incisional care
• Facility with fewer than 100 births per month
• Forceps/vacuum extraction assistance
• Fundus, lochia, and perineum care
• Hemorrhage and shock management, including postpartum hemorrhage
• ID/security banding and infant identification
• Isolation precautions and PPE
• Labor & Delivery, LDRP, and Mother/Baby care
• Metabolic screening and newborn assessments
• Newborn hypoglycemia management
• Non-Stress Tests (NST)
• Pain assessment and management
• Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Post-cesarean recovery
• Reflex checks, edema assessment, and clonus evaluation
• Radiant warmers and thermoregulation
• Use of External Fetal Monitoring (EFM), Internal Fetal Monitoring, and IUPC (Intrauterine Pressure Catheter) placement/calibration
• Vaccine administration
• Wound assessment and care
• Administration of blood and blood products
• Foley catheter insertion and management
• Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) care
• Phototherapy
• Sterile vaginal exams

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
• Active KS license or Compact License
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
• Experience with CPSI charting system
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
