About the role
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process. This role requires expertise in monitoring fetal health, assisting with deliveries, and providing postnatal care. The RN will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the birthing experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to mothers during labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rates and patterns.
- Assist with the delivery of babies and provide immediate postnatal care.
- Educate mothers on newborn care and breastfeeding.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- Nursery skills are required.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within the past two years.
- BLS and NRP certifications.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
This is a Day 3x12-Hour shift position from 07:00 to 19:30.
