Travel L&D RN - $1,890 per week

About the role

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Salem, Virginia. This is a 13-week contract position starting ASAP, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in labor and delivery.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates throughout labor.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Interpret fetal heart tracings and recognize potential complications.
• Administer medications as prescribed, including common OB medications.
• Assist in placing epidurals and support pain management protocols.
• Participate in patient huddles and maintain effective communication with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications.
• Experience in labor and delivery, including strip interpretation and circulator experience in C/S.
• Knowledge of common OB medications and treatments for obstetrical complaints.
• Ability to assist with vacuum and forceps deliveries as needed.
• Experience in PACU recovery for spinal anesthesia and antepartum triage.

Schedule

Shift: 12‑hour days, 07:00 – 19:00, 3 shifts per week, with 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks.
