About the role

Join our Labor and Delivery unit, where you will provide exceptional care for mothers and newborns in a dynamic and supportive environment. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare and fostering positive patient experiences. Your role will include monitoring patients, assisting with labor and delivery, and providing postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with various labor and delivery procedures.
• Utilize bedside ultrasounds, fetal monitors, and other equipment for patient monitoring.
• Administer medications such as magnesium sulfate and insulin drips as needed.
• Conduct non-stress tests (NSTs) and manage oxytocin inductions/augmentations.
• Provide transition care nursing for neonates as necessary.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (post-orientation).
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN), and NRP from AAP.
• Experience with magnesium sulfate and oxytocin management.
• Transition Care Nursing (TCN) experience is preferred but not required.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• 13-week contract position.
• Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (12 hours, nights).
