Job Summary
The role involves providing specialized nursing care within a busy birthing center unit. The nurse will work night shifts in a unit with a high patient volume, supporting postpartum patients with a variety of medical needs and procedures.
Job Details
- Location: Wichita, Kansas
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 1-year current acute care postpartum experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Obstetrics (OB) experience
- Medical-surgical (med-surg) experience
- Gynecology (GYN) experience
Additional Information
The role involves caring for high-risk pregnancies requiring hospitalization (such as PPROM, Preeclampsia, Previa, PTL), fetal monitoring (NSTs), and various post-operative gynecological procedures. The unit uses Meditech and CPN electronic medical records and is equipped with Welch Allen vitals machines and CPN monitors. Candidates should possess a positive attitude, be hardworking, and enjoy staying busy.

Pay Package
The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
