Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $4,087 per week

About the role

The position involves performing vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures using specialized equipment. This role requires a proven track record of experience as an Interventional Radiographer, solid understanding of patient safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Develop and maintain skills in various clinical systems including McKesson RIS, Physician Portal, PCM, PMM, Kronos, PACS, PHS, and Teletrak.
  • Maintain equipment performance to specifications.
  • Aid in maintaining an adequate supply of supplies for patient care.
  • Ensure relevant exam information is captured during the exam.
  • Assist radiologists in performing exams, ensuring clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Interventional Radiographer.
  • Independent decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of patient safety and precautions.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Ability to relate positively to residents and families, and work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Regular attendance and meeting local health regulations.
  • Pass a post-offer health assessment.
  • Physical and sensory requirements: walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, hearing, responding to pages, reading and writing, communicating verbally and in writing, remaining calm under stress, distinguishing smells, tastes, and temperatures.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiographer.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment.
  • Knowledge of vascular and neuroradiology angiographic and interventional procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and patient safety.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and handle emergencies.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 48 hours per week (subject to confirmation), with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
