About the role

Travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. Start date is ASAP for a duration of 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift. Employment type is travel.

Days: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts with start times between 7AM - 10AM. Traveler will be assigned 4x10-hour shifts on weeks where holidays fall. No weekends or holidays. Possible standby, if needed.

Available start dates: 7/27, 8/3, or 8/10.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Vascular Interventional physicians and nurses
• Use multiple imaging modalities for diagnostic and interventional purposes (Fluoroscopy, Ultrasound, CT, and MR)
• Image inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and intra-operative patients while using critical thinking skills
• Perform interventional procedures including:
  • Accessing/Managing Ports
  • Central Venous Access (non-Tunneled/PICC lines)
  • Central Venous Lines – Care and Maintenance
  • Chest Tube Placement
  • Computed tomography
  • Embolization
  • Equipment set up
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Gastrostomy Tube Placement
  • Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter removal
  • Inferior vena cavagram
  • Isolation Precautions/PPE
  • Paracentesis
  • PICC Lines – Care and Maintenance
  • Prep access site
  • Sterile Technique
  • Stock supplies
  • Thoracentesis
  • TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt)
  • Ultrasound
• Use PACS and Siemens equipment
• Float as needed within the facility

Requirements

• 2 years of clinical interventional imaging experience required
• Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology
• State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer
• ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT VI certification preferred
• BLS – AHA only – required
• Flu Vaccine: Required (Medical/Religious Exemptions Only)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred
• Neuro (stroke) experience preferred
• Experience with GE and Siemens equipment preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)

Testing Requirements

A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts:

• Adult Exam:
  • 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole
  • No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks (1 incorrect answer will cause failure)
  • Passing score of 80% or higher
• Pediatric Exam:
  • Identify: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia
  • Passing score of 80% or higher

Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt, they must submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts, the assignment will be cancelled.
