Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,406 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Pomona, New Jersey. Start date: 08/24/2026.

About the role

• 13-week travel assignment in an acute care hospital setting
• Interventional Radiology department with a daily caseload of 7-15 cases
• 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM-5:00 PM or 7:30 AM-5:30 PM), Monday through Friday
• No weekend shift requirement
• On-call requirement: 5 weekday nights and 1 full weekend every 6 weeks
• May float between two campus locations approximately 12 miles apart
• Uses PACS system for imaging
• Hospital-provided scrubs and 2-day orientation provided
• First-time travelers and local candidates within 50 miles considered
• Works within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
• Parking provided at each facility

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of image-guided vascular and nonvascular interventional procedures for inpatient and outpatient populations
• Prep access sites, set up equipment, monitor patients accurately, and maintain sterile fields during procedures
• Perform advanced procedures such as chemoembolization, TIPS, carotid stenting, dialysis graft interventions, and IVC filter placement/removal
• Scrub, circulate, and maintain sterile technique
• Set up equipment, manage inventory, and stock supplies
• Use vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Perform venous access including port access/management and central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
• Conduct abdominal, visceral, genitourinary, and vascular angiography procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and endovascular interventions
• Perform dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and TIPS procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in IR, Hybrid OR, Scrub, and Special Procedures
• NJDEP Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (can be obtained prior to start)
• ARRT(R), ACLS, and BLS certifications required
• ARRT (VI) certification preferred
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Proficiency in venous access including port access/management and central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
• Experience with abdominal, visceral, genitourinary, and vascular angiography procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and endovascular interventions
• Experience with dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and TIPS procedures
• Skilled in room circulator duties, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile technique
• Experience with equipment set up, inventory management, and supply stocking
