About the role
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac IR unit requiring 2+ years experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, record, and circulate cardiac cases
- Scrub for devices, peripheral, IR and vascular procedures
- Float into EP to help circulate or scrub as needed
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years experience required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Cerner EMR experience
- License required if applicable
Work environment
- Level 3 trauma acute care setting within a combined Cath Lab, EP, and IR unit
- 4 procedure suites/labs with an average of 10 cases per day
- Patient population includes CAD, STEMI, NSTEMI, PVD, HF, PE, cardiac, IR, EP, and vascular cases
- Uses Cerner and Merge systems, with a planned transition to Epic
- Cardiologist coverage available 24/7
- Scrubs are provided
Schedule
- Monday through Friday 8-hour day shifts, either 0730-1600 or 0830-1700
- Call requirement of 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend, with 2 weekends of holiday coverage per year
- Call response time of 30 minutes
