Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a 12-week travel contract in Illinois.
Work Setting & Procedures
- Work in an Interventional Radiology unit at an acute care hospital
- Procedures include biopsies, CVC, PICC, tunneled HD catheters, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, and embolizations
- Cath lab procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, IABP, IVUS, and Impella
- Equipment includes Siemens C-arm (single and bi-plane) and GE ultrasound
- Epic EMR used in this facility
Schedule & On-Call
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend availability required
- On-call is required on a rotating basis; must be within a 30-minute radius during on-call periods (13.5-hour call shifts)
- May be required to float to a different unit or facility at the manager's request
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist; 2+ years preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in an active interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP lab preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate's Degree in Applied Sciences; Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
- ARRT certification required
- IEMA licensure required (IL license must be in hand — no emergency or pending licensure)
- BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association required (ACLS required within 6 months of hire)
- Experience with Epic and Omnicell
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of IR and cath lab procedures including vascular interventions, drain placements, and cardiac interventions
- Two professional references required, including at least one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN within the past year
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of profile submission and cannot be added afterward
- Vaccination status must be documented on your profile
- Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted but may be subject to a local pay rate
