Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,580 per week
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Tucson, Arizona.
About the role
We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) with 1 year of recent acute care experience. The position involves operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. IR Techs prepare and observe patients, report abnormal activity, and maintain accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients while providing reassurance and support.
- Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Monitor patients during all procedures.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to minimize patient and operator exposure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately interpret examination requests.
- Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- 1 year of recent acute care experience.
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Vascular Interventional certificate preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

- 13-week assignment.
