About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting on July 29, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of interventional procedures using fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and administering contrast media.
  • Operate equipment such as ultrasound, CT, and MRI machines to assist in diagnostic imaging.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain records according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Ensure sterile technique during procedures to prevent infection.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in Kentucky.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Basic computer skills to operate hospital information systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Experience with interventional radiology equipment and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle stressful situations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating interventional radiology equipment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Good physical stamina and dexterity for handling medical equipment.

Pay
