Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,307 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in Everett, Washington. The position is a 13‑week travel assignment starting 12 October 2026, working 40 hours per week on a 4‑day, 10‑hour day‑shift schedule (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM). The role supports a team that includes two Interventional Radiologists, a Neuro Interventionalist, vascular surgeons, and a PA/NP.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Siemens IR equipment and C‑Arm; assist with contrast administration.
• Prepare access sites, circulate the room, and scrub to maintain a sterile field.
• Perform a variety of IR procedures including cerebral angiography, stroke intervention, Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography, biopsies (fluoro, CT, ultrasound), venous access (ports, dialysis, central lines), gastrostomy, and placement of biliary, nephrostomy, and abscess drains.
• Document procedures in EPIC.
• Be on‑call 5–7 days per month, including weekends.
• Potentially float between sister facilities within the state as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in Interventional Radiology.
• BLS certification.
• ARRT‑R certification (required).
• Washington State license (or applicable compact license) in hand at time of submission.
• Proficiency with contrast administration.
• Experience with angiograms, nephrograms, and venous access.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification.
• ARRT‑VI certification.
• Experience with C‑Arm operation and biopsies.
• Skills in ablations and kyphoplasty.
• First‑time travelers accepted with at least 2 years experience.

Skills

• Equipment set‑up and troubleshooting.
• Room circulation and sterile technique.
• Use of Siemens IR equipment and PACS system.
• Charting in EPIC.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

• 4 × 10‑hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday‑Thursday.
• On‑call 5–7 days per month, including weekends.
• Must work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day).
