About the role
A travel Interventional Radiology Technologist position is available in Kansas City, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures, including positioning and monitoring vital signs.
- Operate equipment such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT scanners to capture images.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as directed by the physician.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
