About the role

Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting on July 20, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
• Assist in the planning and execution of interventional procedures using fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and administering contrast media.
• Operate equipment such as ultrasound, CT, and MRI machines to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain records according to HIPAA standards.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Requirements

• Current state license as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of interventional radiology techniques and procedures.
• Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and maintaining sterile environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Experience working in an interventional radiology department preferred.
