About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a position in Reston, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the fluoroscopic equipment
  • Absorb and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
  • Prepare and observe patients undergoing the procedure
  • Monitor patient during all procedures
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

  • 1 year of recent acute care experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
  • Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology

Qualifications

  • BLS, ARRT (VI), 2 Years

Skills

  • Knowledge of radiation protection standards
  • Understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
  • Ability to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
  • Ability to maintain accurate patient records
  • Knowledge of the McKesson PACS system

Benefits

  • Pay package based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation)

Schedule

We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Reston, VA. The right IR Tech should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.
