About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting July 27, 2026, in Reston, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
- Assist in the planning and execution of interventional procedures using fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and administering contrast media.
- Operate equipment such as ultrasound, CT, and MRI machines to assist in diagnostic imaging.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain records according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in the state of Virginia.
- Experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures and assisting with interventional procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and maintaining sterile environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Completion of an accredited interventional radiology technologist program.
- Current certification as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
