About the role
Host Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting on July 27, 2026, in Reston, Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under the supervision of an interventional radiologist.
- Assist in the preparation of patients for procedures, including positioning and monitoring vital signs.
- Operate imaging equipment to capture accurate images during procedures.
- Prepare and administer contrast media as directed by the physician.
- Ensure sterile technique and maintain aseptic conditions during procedures.
- Document patient data accurately and prepare reports for the physician.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as an Interventional Radiology Technologist in the state of Virginia.
- Experience in performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures.
- Knowledge of imaging modalities and their applications in interventional radiology.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Completion of an accredited interventional radiology technologist program.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in interventional radiology.
- Current BLS certification.
