Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $2,384 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR tech) for a 13-week travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures
• Absorb and pass instruments, maintain a sterile field, and monitor patient vital signs and procedural details
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensure readiness for procedures, manage and restock procedural supplies, and collaborate with team members to provide seamless patient care
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• Prior ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) or PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification may be preferred
• Current Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position

They should be able to read, write, and communicate in the English language, read/write/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficient in PC skills. They must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend. They must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism. They must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. They must have the ability to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. They must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel. They must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail. They must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate.
