Travel Interventional Radiology Technician - $3,488 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Traverse City, Michigan. This position requires 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift and is classified as a travel role.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients while providing reassurance and support.
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Monitor patients during all procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to minimize patient and operator exposure.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology to accurately interpret examination requests and identify abnormalities.
• Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the McKesson PACS system.
• Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.
• Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures, reporting any abnormal activity.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ARRT (R) National Certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• State-specific licensing required where applicable.
• Vascular Interventional (VI) certificate preferred.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
