About the Role
- Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs (or four 10-hour shifts per week, 36 hours/week)
- Start Date: August 24, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Setting: Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- On-call: Required every 4th weekend and one day per week
- Patient Cases: Complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures
- Equipment: Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines, power injectors for iodinated contrast media, Sectra/PACS imaging system
- EMR: Epic (charting)
- Floating: May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
- Eligibility: Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Responsibilities
- Scrub side-by-side with specialty proceduralists during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
- Circulate and retrieve complex interventional products
- Operate power injectors and maintain sterile procedural trays
- Perform groin management post-intervention
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
- Apply closed-loop communication skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist
- Active NJ radiographic licensure required
- Current ARRT (R) certification
- BLS certification from an American Heart Association-accredited program with skills demonstration
- High school diploma/GED and associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program
- Proficiency with fluoroscopic modalities, power contrast injection devices, and PACS systems
- Ability to scrub and assist proceduralists during complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases
- Strong sterile technique and infection prevention practices
