Travel Interventional Radiology Technician - $2,643 per week

About the role

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a position in Morristown, New Jersey. This is a 13-week, 36-hour-per-week opportunity with a 12-hour shift, night shift.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients
• Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Monitor patient during all procedures
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques
• Operate the fluoroscopic equipment and assist the physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures
• Prepare and observe patients undergoing the procedure
• Report abnormal activity
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• 1 year of recent acute care experience
• BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
• Vascular Interventional certificate preferred
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Qualifications

• BLS, ARRT (VI), ARRT (R), 3 Years

Skills

• Knowledge of radiation protection standards
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
• Ability to operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
• Ability to maintain accurate patient records
• Knowledge of the McKesson PACS system
