About the role
Magnet Medical is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting August 10, 2026, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare the IR suite, review patient information, verify consent, explain procedure, and ensure sterile environment.
- Assisting During Procedures: Operate imaging equipment, administer contrast agents, monitor vital signs, and remove devices post-procedure.
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Ensure patient comfort, monitor for complications, and provide post-procedure care instructions.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and inspect imaging equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and document procedures.
- Collaboration with Medical Team: Work with interventional radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, and participate in continuing education.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document procedures, maintain logs, and adhere to radiation safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current certification in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Experience in interventional radiology or related field preferred.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Skills
- Proficiency with imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
