About the role

Magnet Medical is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment starting August 10, 2026, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare the IR suite, review patient information, verify consent, explain procedure, and ensure sterile environment.
  • Assisting During Procedures: Operate imaging equipment, administer contrast agents, monitor vital signs, and remove devices post-procedure.
  • Patient Safety and Comfort: Ensure patient comfort, monitor for complications, and provide post-procedure care instructions.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and inspect imaging equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and document procedures.
  • Collaboration with Medical Team: Work with interventional radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, and participate in continuing education.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Document procedures, maintain logs, and adhere to radiation safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current certification in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience in interventional radiology or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Skills

  • Proficiency with imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
