Schedule Day Shift - 8 x 5 Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist to assist the cardiologist in performing all aspects of invasive procedures. This role includes right heart monitoring, myoendocardial biopsies, left heart catheterizations, and interventional procedures. Responsibilities Enter patient information into the Cath Lab computer system, monitor patients throughout the procedure, and document all parts of the procedure in the hemodynamic system. Communicate vital patient information to the physician, including blood pressure and heart rhythms. Operate equipment appropriate for procedures, such as fluoroscopy equipment, defibrillators, and monitoring equipment. Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Prepare trays and the room for procedures while explaining the procedure to patients and providing necessary instructions. Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care. Support information gathering for research on patients. Communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team. Aid in the transport of patients to and from the Cath Lab to ensure timely operations. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Completion of an accredited technical program is required; Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Science preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. ECMO experience preferred; Interventional Radiology, Neuro IR, and vascular experience required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred, but not required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ARRT in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology or ARRT Certificate, or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification required.
