There will be 5-7 call shifts per 7-week block, including 2-4 weekend call days as needed. Job Description The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiologic images and assisting in various procedures. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and patient care skills, emphasizing teamwork and patient rights. Responsibilities Select appropriate exposure factors and position patients to produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images. Instruct and prepare patients for examinations while assisting Radiologists during procedures. Demonstrate competency in the operation of all relevant equipment, reporting malfunctions when necessary. Complete assigned procedures in a timely fashion and assist with room turnover when possible. Adhere to medication security protocols, ensuring accessibility is limited to authorized personnel only. Utilize the Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS effectively for documentation. Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Two years of experience in a relevant field. NYS Licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start). ARRT certification required; VIR certification preferred. Why ARMStaffing?
