Travel Interventional Radiology Tech - $2,606 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Florence, South Carolina. This role is in the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary hospital, with a daily caseload of 4 cases per technologist.

Schedule

• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required on a rotation with two other techs
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• No floating to other units or sister facilities
• Block scheduling may be accommodated with manager approval based on unit needs, though not guaranteed
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a tertiary hospital
• Adhere to isolation precautions/PPE, infection control, and sterile technique
• Use Epic for charting
• Participate in emergency response duties during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September)

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in general Interventional Radiology required
• Neuro IR experience preferred
• BLS and ARRT (R) certification required
• SCQRSA certification required
• License required if applicable
• Radiation badge required, to be provided by the traveler's agency
• Lead tech experience preferred
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for 1 year before returning as a traveler

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• OR scrubs provided by the facility
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as approval is based on facility needs
• Located in a hurricane-prone region; all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season
