About the role

This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center catering to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care. The department specializes in providing care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedural preparation of patients
• Post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care
• Care for patients boarding overnight pre- or post-procedure
• Pre/post and 23-hour care for IR patients
• Work within a multidisciplinary team

Requirements

• 2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• New York RN license (only)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
