About the role

This is a fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department in a level 1 Trauma center. We cater to inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses work within a multidisciplinary team and are responsible for the pre-procedural preparation of patients and post procedural recovery and overnight observation care. Experience with GI post procedural care is preferred but not required.

RN responsible for pre/post and 23hr care for IR patients. Care for patients boarding overnight pre or post procedure.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedural preparation of patients
• Post-procedural recovery and overnight observation care
• Care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRI’s, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-ray, and ultrasound
• Provide 23-hour care for IR patients, including those boarding overnight pre or post procedure

Requirements

• 2 years' Registered IR Nursing experience
• Telemetry Experience Required
• New York RN license (ONLY)

Qualifications

• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
