Travel Intermediate Care Unit RN - $2,193 per week

About the role

The nursing staff in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) provide patient care for individuals requiring close monitoring and support. The unit consists of 30 beds, offering both private and semi-private accommodations. Nurses are expected to manage various patient diagnoses and provide critical interventions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, and following cardiac procedures.
• Maintain and titrate various IV drips, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as required.
• Assume full patient assignments alongside charge nurse responsibilities.
• Collaborate with a Clinical Assistant and nurse aides to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in patient assessments and implement care plans as directed.

Requirements

• Active RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Pay

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
