Job Summary

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care is sought in Lawrence, Massachusetts. This position involves partnering with residents and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive Speech Language Pathology services aimed at maximizing residents' communication and swallowing functions. The role includes evaluation, therapeutic planning, documentation, and patient education, supporting the organization's mission and high standards of care.

Job Details

  • Location: Lawrence, Massachusetts
  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Speech & Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand written instructions in English
  • No minimum years of experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility

  • The Speech Language Pathologist will perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team.
  • Responsibilities include maintaining clinical knowledge, providing resident and caregiver education, ensuring compliance with reimbursement regulations, and supporting program development.
