Travel Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist - $2,145 per week

About the role

Inpatient Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position providing therapy services to patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, neuro impairments, swallowing difficulties, and cognitive impairments. Responsibilities include performing bedside swallow studies and managing neurological and trauma‑related cases, with potential float or coverage for other assigned areas. Assignment runs from 10/06/2026 through 01/05/2027 (13 weeks).

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient therapy services to patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, neuro, trauma, and cognitive impairments.
• Perform bedside swallow studies.
• Manage neurological and trauma‑related cases.
• Deliver quality patient care in the inpatient setting.
• Potential coverage for other assigned areas and float responsibilities.

Requirements

• Certification in Speech‑Language Pathology (CCC‑SLP) via ASHA.
• BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Current state license to practice as an SLP.
• Experience with bedside swallow studies.

Qualifications

• Preferred: travel experience.
• Preferred: trauma experience.
• One year of experience or more is required (location requirement).

Skills

• Bedside swallow studies.
• Inpatient neurorehabilitation (stroke, TBI, neuro, trauma).
• Cognitive impairment assessment and treatment.
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR (training provided if needed).
• Unit‑specific orientation (1.5 days) as needed.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

8‑hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, minimum 40 hours per week.
