Travel Inpatient & Outpatient Physical Therapist - $2,566 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist with 3+ years of experience for an inpatient and outpatient setting in Iowa, working Monday–Friday day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients using physical therapy techniques to relieve pain, restore function, and promote independence
• Establish individualized treatment plans and goals
• Re-evaluate patient progress
• Made discharge recommendations
• Education patients and caregivers on therapy goals, home programs, and injury prevention
• Recommend and facilitate adaptive equipment as appropriate
• Collaborate and co-treat with interdisciplinary care team members
• Assist with departmental program development and provide inservices for staff and community
• Supervise PT aides, assistants, students, and volunteers
• Participate in medical conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of physical therapy experience required
• Graduate of an APTA-accredited program with a certificate, master's degree, or doctorate in physical therapy required
• Current Iowa state PT license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Must be able to stand 7–8 hours and walk 6–7 hours per workday
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and manage awkward loads up to 100+ lbs as needed
• Frequent bending, squatting, and reaching above shoulder level throughout the workday

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
