About the role
The position is for a physical therapist specializing in inpatient care at a Critical Access hospital in Windsor, Vermont. The role involves providing occupational therapy treatments to patients within a hospital setting, requiring independent work and experience. The assignment begins on 09/08/2026 and lasts 13 weeks, with five 8-hour day shifts per week (minimum 40 hours). A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required, as public transportation is unavailable in this small community.
All requested time off during the assignment (maximum 5 days) must be noted and verified at the time of submission; post-offer requests may lead to a rescinded offer. Scheduling requests must be made upfront, and the traveler’s profile must include a permanent address. Compliance with the hospital’s 3-strike rule for call-offs is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Deliver occupational therapy treatments to patients based on evaluations.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of treatments and progress.
- Assist with in-services and support community health programs.
Requirements
- 2+ years of current inpatient/acute occupational therapy experience.
- Active Vermont Occupational Therapy license.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Supervisory references from within the past two years.
- All certifications and required documents uploaded with profile.
