Travel Inpatient Occupational Therapist - $2,413 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for an immediate opening in Windsor, Vermont.

About the role

This is a 13-week travel assignment with 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts. The role is full-time and temporary, focused on evaluating and developing care plans for patients needing to improve or regain daily living skills within an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
• Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities to help patients work toward those goals.
• Assist people with various disabilities in performing different tasks.
• Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
• Educate a patient's family and employer on how to accommodate and care for the patient.
• Recommend and instruct patients on the use of special equipment.
• Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NBCOT-OTR (National Certification) with state-specific licensing.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
