VyTalent Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Job Details

• Location: Wheeling, WV
• Setting: Hospital
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts
• Candidate Type: Traveler

Schedule

• Must be on the unit ready to go by 6:45 am/pm. Shifts run from 7a - 7p.
• Self-scheduling is allowed as long as the needs of the unit are met.
• Staff are allowed 4 requested days off per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an intermediate care unit within a hospital setting.
• Read and interpret tele monitors and strips independently.
• Titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Labetolol, Nitro, Heparin, and occasionally Lasix.
• Manage respiratory equipment including high flow and Bipap devices.
• Collaborate with Hospitalists, Intensivists, and RTs in a 24/7 in-house staffing model.
• Support patient diagnosis and management of conditions such as chest pain, arrhythmias, post-pacer, pre/post Caths, and overflow patients requiring intermediate care.
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific protocols and safety standards.
• Assist in patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
