Travel ICU RN

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing subtle condition changes
• Administer complex medications and operate advanced life support equipment
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and address physical and emotional needs
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpret data
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Educate patients and families about ICU treatments and recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize care
• Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures through ongoing training
• Follow infection control protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Key Duties

• Provide comprehensive critical care in high-acuity ICU settings
• Operate life-support equipment and manage complex treatments
• Ensure safety, comfort, and education for patients and families
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams and adhere to safety standards

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of one year recent ICU experience
• Valid RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to handle equipment and move within high-acuity environments
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and using PC technology
• Ability to work under pressure, handle irregular schedules, and maintain attention to detail
