Candidates need to have significant ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and must be willing to float to the Step-Down ICU as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care. Administers prescribed medications and treatments according to established nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws/practice act. Documents patient care in accordance with standards. Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and/or hospital policies, including patient and family education. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance. Provides clinical expertise and guidance in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care across other units/departments.
