Travel ICU RN - $2,333 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an ICU - Intensive Care Unit assignment in Kearney, Nebraska.

About the Role

This 18-week travel assignment begins on September 14, 2026, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. The role involves providing critical care in an acute setting at a Level 2 trauma facility using the EPIC charting system.

Responsibilities

• Titrate drips, including cardiac, insulin, and sedation drips
• Read, interpret, and document monitor strips
• Manage adult patients with trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress
• Operate and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment such as vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, and manage care from nasal cannula to ventilator
• Adhere to self-scheduling for core staff; travelers are added in as needed
• Work every other weekend and a minimum of 2 holidays during the contract
• Float to PCU or MedSurg with a typical patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5

Requirements

• Active RN license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• Experience in an ICU setting with a patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Must pass an open-book orientation exam with a score of 90%
• Located outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Valid driver’s license required at submission
• No artificial nails permitted in patient care departments

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during an assignment.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts (0630-1830 or 1830-0630)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Minimum of 2 holidays during the 18-week contract
