TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position in Elmira, New York. This is an immediate opening for a 13‑week travel assignment requiring 36 hours per week. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients in an Intensive Care Unit setting.
• Provide direct care to patients in life‑threatening situations, documenting and delivering physician‑directed care.
• Assess and implement patient care plans, delegating to other care providers as appropriate.
• Provide education and support to patient families, including long‑term care needs.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests.
