About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neuro/Trauma Critical Care team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care for critically ill patients in a high-level, technologically advanced environment. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive nursing care to post-trauma and neurosurgery patients.
- Monitor patient vitals and manage critical care equipment.
- Administer medications and patient treatments as per protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the management of complex neurological conditions.
- Participate in emergency response and critical stabilizing procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or compact) required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a trauma or critical care setting preferred.
- Cerner charting system experience required.
- Previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
Schedule
- 12-hour rotating shifts between 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00.
- Every other weekend required.
- Rotating schedule typically occurs every 6 weeks.
